BL Reed

Benjamin Luke (B.L.) Reed came from the salt of Choctaw County, Mississippi. Holidays were filled with picking parties and country cooking among his cross-generational musical family. Moving to Birmingham, AL for his formative years, B.L. spent days in the high school jazz band, and moonlighted as a teen-rock guitar hero of The Magic City. After winning the All State Jazz competition at age seventeen, his career seemed predestined. After spending a year in New Orleans, Reed moved to Nashville and immediately joined the scene, playing with local bands and starting his own solo project. A decade later, he’s a player in high demand, accompanying musical acts across a multitude of genres, as well as composing and producing for other artists and audiovisual projects. BL’s Debut Record, “Easy Streets” is out June 30th. An homage to his Southern and Rock & Roll roots, a glorifying critique of the culture, a fast paced, groovy fried recipe you’ll wash down with a cold one.
